
The Breath Clinic is a small group workshop (limited to 3 students) that takes place at Lake Breeze Wellness.
This clinic runs the last four Wednesdays in April (4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29) from 5:30 - 6:45 PM. This pass is for all four sessions. Please only purchase if you are able to attend all sessions. Thank you!
There will be an educational component to this clinic, but most of the time will be spent moving and learning breath awareness techniques to help you and your yoga poses feel more alive. You’ll build a toolbox of practical breathing techniques, with often profound effects, to take with you into your daily life. We’ll cover the following:
In the first session, a brief discussion of breathing mechanics in relation to the primary breathing muscle, the diaphragm
Some discussion on the 5 vayus or “winds"
Progressive breath awareness techniques, starting simply
Directed breathing practices in yoga poses to sense your breath in different areas of your body
Using your breath to play with modulating sensation in a pose
Standalone practices to take with you into your life & into whatever yoga class you might be taking
We’ll end each session with a guided meditation before savasana
Working with the breath in yoga practice can be one of the most profound ways to create positive changes in your life. It's not about fixing anything; it starts with just noticing…which is where we’ll start!
