Have you been considering booking a private session? Do you want to have more movement options, feel more open to life, and get to know yourself a bit better? Select a time slot for this free, 20-minute consultation so you can find out more, and I can answer any questions you might have before you book your first session.
If you'd prefer to schedule a phone call instead, please send me a note via the contact form below. Looking forward to hearing from you!

These sessions are held, 1-on-1, at Lake Breeze Wellness in Irondequoit. I also offer semi-private sessions (up to 3 students) and depending on your location, I can travel to you. To inquire about rates, packages, or if you have any other questions, feel free to contact me.
A private yoga session is tailored specifically to you. Maybe your doctor has cleared you to practice yoga, but you're feeling uncertain about attending a crowded studio class. You may feel you have certain limitations post-injury. Maybe you're currently dealing with stiff or achy joints, and you're ready to start building things back up. You might want to learn some new ways of looking at yoga poses so they feel like they're working for you. Or you might want to learn about certain aspects of yoga beyond the physical postures: breathing & mindfulness techniques, meditation, yoga philosophy; all useful for encouraging vitality and meeting the ever-moving energy of life.
Regardless of what brings you to a private session, my aim is to help you feel capable of meeting your daily tasks, learn to embrace the challenges that show up, and offer you guidance and support along the way. I love yoga and feel so lucky to be sharing what I've learned in my studies from my teachers and mentors, and my own experiences, to offer you a well-rounded practice, and to bolster the wonderful, innate qualities you already possess.

This is an ONLINE OFFERING that takes place every Friday from 9:00 - 9:45 AM.
This 45 minute class is the perfect “movement snack,” where we’ll focus on movements and methods to help us age well. We’ll work on dynamic balancing techniques, practice getting up & down from the floor, use body weight progressions, props as weights and tools to intensify stretches to gain better joint & body awareness, and we’ll always end the class with some satisfying stretches & savasana.

Details:
"Inspiration: The Breath" is a yoga workshop that will focus on breath awareness techniques to bring a sense of spaciousness to your body, mind, & spirit. There will be an educational component to this workshop: We’ll take some time at the start of the workshop to discuss some breathing mechanics in relation to the primary breathing muscle, the diaphragm. The majority of the workshop will be spent learning through experiencing how it feels to move in rhythm with your breath, to embody your breath, and to work with some directed breathing practices in yoga poses in order to feel a little more alive. We’ll end the workshop with a guided meditation, followed by a restorative savasana.
Working with the breath in yoga practice can be one of the most profound ways to create positive changes in your life. It's not about fixing anything; it starts with just noticing. What happens to your body and breath when you are feeling calm versus in distress? What happens when you slow down enough to notice how you feel? What happens when you try some simple practices to help regulate your stress response?
Props will be provided.
Please reach out to me with any questions! I’m looking forward to providing a space for learning and experiencing.
Instructions:
Please bring your yoga mat and a journal or notebook if you'd like to jot down any notes along the way. Please arrive 5-10 minutes before the workshop starts to allow time to check in and get settled. Thank you!

The Hip Clinic is a small group workshop (limited to 3 students) that takes place at Lake Breeze Wellness.
This clinic runs four Wednesdays in November (11/5, 11/12, 11/19, 11/26) from 5:30 - 6:45 PM. This pass is for all four sessions. Please only purchase if you are able to attend all sessions. Thank you!
Did you know that the hip is a ball and socket joint, and it doesn't "open" in just one direction? In this hip clinic we'll explore the various ways the hip joint moves. We'll start the first workshop of the series with a little chat on some anatomical landmarks and a map of where we'll plan to go in the series, but the majority of our time will be spent experiencing movement. You can bring questions if you have them, or we'll discover them as we go. We'll practice some somatic lessons from the Feldenkrais system, which can be great for reconnecting the dots if there are areas of the body-mind that have gotten fuzzy over time. We'll "talk to our tissues" by putting tension on them (stretching them!) in multiple ways: isometrics (which have been documented to be helpful in pain relief), eccentrics (helpful for coordination), and some nice passive stretches to settle into rest. You'll walk away with a better sense of this area of your body and how it moves and anchors you. In this small group setting, there will be opportunities to attend to some of your specific needs and questions around certain musculoskeletal concerns. This clinic is appropriate for both new yoga practitioners as well as yoga teachers.

The Balance Clinic is a small group workshop (limited to 3 students) that takes place at Lake Breeze Wellness.
The clinic runs the first three Saturdays in November (11/8, 11/15, 11/22) from 10:00 - 11:15 AM. This pass is for all 3 sessions. Please only purchase if you’re able to attend all sessions. Thank you!
In The Balance Clinic, we’ll dive into a little education about the three main components we rely on to maintain balance: the visual system (input from the eyes), proprioception (subconscious input from muscles, tendons, joints), & the vestibular system (input from the inner ear about spatial orientation, motion, equilibrium). Most of our time will be spent experiencing movement. We’ll focus on our feet and use practical strategies to better map this area of our body. We'll pay attention to how we use our feet in a variety of yoga poses and how putting our attention there might change our experience in a pose. We’ll explore different ways to get up & down from the floor, practice walking balance poses, standing balance poses, and balancing on different surfaces. Each class will end on the floor with some stretching & final resting pose to encourage body-mind-spirit balance. In this small group setting, there will be opportunities to attend to some of your specific needs and questions around certain musculoskeletal concerns. This clinic is appropriate for both new yoga practitioners as well as yoga teachers.

The Hip Clinic is a small group workshop (limited to 3 students) that takes place at Lake Breeze Wellness.
This clinic runs the last four Saturdays in January (1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31) from 10:00 - 11:15 AM. This pass is for all four sessions. Please only purchase if you are able to attend all sessions. Thank you!
